Giancarlo Calicchia is a master sculptor, painter, artist, and founder of Calicchia Stone Industries Inc. Calicchia is from Veroli in Italy, near the mountains in Rome. When he was 11 years old, he moved with his family to Rome, New York. He had been interested in working with stone as a young child and went on to do architectural stonework all over the world. He would later found his own company in Calicchia Stone Industries, Inc. He would close the business in 1994, and focus solely on painting, sculpting, farming, and running a restaurant. Giancarlo loves to work for clients such as Kent State University. You can find his sculptures on display at universities and museums across the country. He has a Day in Pompeii Exhibition at the Cincinnati Museum Center, as well as many others. Our website is your hub for everything related to Giancarlo’s work.
